As reported by Jaime a week or so back, La Tropa is now at least 50% larger (they bought out the opium den next door) and laid out very similarly to the old HK. They had a celebratory happy hour Wednesday night with free drinks for the whole house, and believe me they didn't SKIMP on the drinks. The offer was a free botella for the table or unlimited u call its for an hour. An alcoholicos wet dream!!! When I left about 10:30 (after paying some porcleain penance) the bucket o' beers on the table still had 12 unopened cervezas just begging to be popped. Tomas where were you when you were NEEDED??? OK, enuff about booze... The floorshow started as soon as the free hooch was delivered. A 5 girl lineup, with most above the curve for Zona dancers. The most impressive was first out of the gate, a Marbel lookalike (only with smaller tits) named 'Yohyda' (phonetic). Other than the dancers, though, there weren't a lot of other chicas around for company, save a couple that were imported from Tropical for the evening. Obviously the ability to attract and keep clientes in the bar is gonna depend on their ability to deliver in the chica department, but then again Tropical was a morgue that night too, so it may be just due to the holidays.
