Many of the chicas are still not back. Packed with customers, but I can't remember seeing so few chicas per hombre at AB...or so few chicas outright at AB on a Saturday. At one point I seemed to experience a hallucination - sitting in a upper level booth by the back bar, I scanned the room, and all I could see was dudes. If I didn't know better, I would have thought I was in a gay bar. I didn't suffer though since the chica I came for was present and firing on all cylinders. CC was even worse - just lifeless for the second Saturday in a row - granted I was out of there by 11:00 so it may still have picked up. Las Chevales had a half dozen selectables, but my energies and wallet were played out - next time. Actually, many chicas don't return from the long holiday - the extended time spent back in the hometown with the family, old friends, novios and the niņos they left behind with mom persuades many of them to try something other than la vida loca in the heart of TJ squalor. This is a recycling time of year in the zona. But have no fear, a fresh crop will be in place by April.
