Madonna's was open when I've gone by there the last couple of weeks. I think they just had a short holiday closure. Christy's was a struggling operation from the getgo - little business and not enough worthwhile chicas. NY Club had customers inside a total of about 6 hours over an entire week - i.e. a few peak hours on Fri/Sat - but they have operated as a quasi ghost town for years (with high overhead to boot). I have a feeling they will open there doors and resume not making money. I think the pattern in TJ is expansion. So far, not enough reliable putas to keep up with remodeling of venues like La Tropa, Las Chevales, El Pelicano, and of course CC. Several new clubs have opened on Revolucion in the last year or two as well. New operations are planned in the zona too, including ambitious plans for an upscale club in the old Molino Rojo space (according to widespread hearsay).
