I'm reminded of a seminar I was in where the speaker talked about people with a "pea-shooter brain". It's the sort of brain that doesn't contribute to an effort by a group but instead stands back and "shoots peas". Instead of looking for positive contributions, this type of brain is always looking for something to shoot at. In the short run it can be "occasionally amusing" but it gets old after awhile and can have a negative effect on group dynamics.
