The second-to-last time I was down in the Zona, for a friend's bachelor party, I dragged myself home at about 1 PM, exhausted to hell, and clicked the TV on, looking for something to drift off to. As luck would have it, the Wild Bunch was on. Watching the flick, particularly the scenes with the putas, brought the whole evening back to me and made me feel like I had taken part in a time-honored tradition extending back to the Old West the evening before. Warm, fuzzy feelings of contentment.
