Just experienced our first "rolling blackout" up north here (about noon Pacific time-lasted about 20 minutes)...((Fuck those "power companies" ...PG&E, SoCal Edison - really just "investor groups...)) ...right in the middle of creating a post...lost it all...this reminds me of the "oil crisis" of the '70's...nothing like a panic "knob twisting" to keep "la gente" in line...What's next? Food crisis! What obvious machinations! But I digress... AB! I say it's ONLY for guys who speak Spanish...a great "interplanetary" bar ...kinda like the bar in the first "Star Wars" movie... I'll always remember the German guy at the end of the bar, with whom I had the "oportunidad" to speak "un poco" Deutsche...und vielen danke fur die Zigarette, mein Freund..."... Or the Australian guy, who walked around AB, transfixed...speaking "ingles con acento Australiano"...( I introduced him to a chica and asked her what the Spanish word was for "Australia"...she looked at me like I was nuts, and said "Australia..." And the ultrasophisticated Ana de D.F....Mexican polyglot, speaking espanol, francais y ingles, tambien...( She claimed that women would always be able to control men...I said, "How?"...and she coyly spread wide her legs...) And finalmente...una broma...una chistosa.. "Amiga, digame como se llama una persona que habla dos idiomas...." "Bilingual, 'mano..." "Entonces, digame como se llama una persona que habla tres idiomas..." "Trilingual" "Oye, baby bella, que rico! Y ahora, digame como se llama una persona que habla solamente uno idioma..." "No se, hombre..." "Pueeeeesssss....un Americano!" ................... KRICO
