That would depend on the asking price. If quoted $40 or $50, I'll just pay it. Anything higher, and I will haggle a little.

If she cuts the price right away, it is a go. If not, I may pay the asking price (up to $60, anything over that and she is taking you for a sucker) if I really want her, specifically, or if time contraints prevent much further shopping.

If there are no pressing time constraints, and she is nothing out of the ordinary, I will walk away from the deal. I share your concern that you probably will not get the best service from someone you had adversarial negotiations with (actually, I had to learn this one the hard way!)
