I believe that you should engage in price discussion because it is expected in Latin culture in this situation. The object is to keep it friendly and joke a little about things rather than turn it into a hard nosed competition. Fake a little friendly surprise at times, make comments like "Cuánto cuesta por el gusto de la compañía" rather than "por cincuenta necesitas mamarme sin condom". Let her know you have been here before "He venido aquí muchas veces y nunca pagué más de sesenta dolares". The opening Gringo quote is designed to gauge your reaction. Besides once she knows you return, she will bargain with that in mind. Traveler put up a good bit at RedSnake that I shamelessly made my own. "Soy un hombre pobre. Camino en las calles todo del tiempo. Busco una mujer con un coarzón de oro." She'll laugh and tell you that you've come to the wrong place, but it breaks the ice. Gitano
