Settling down and having a family is way overrated. Having children is a death sentence. You are much better off living, travelling, and screwing around with whomever you please than you are thinking these foolish thoughts about how warm and fuzzy it will be when you are a "family man".

Indeed, I have been considering pitching a response to the latest Nicholas Cage travesty. My film will be called "The Anti-Family Man". In this film, your typical suburban sap with a wife and three kids, a mortgage, and a boring-ass job has actually convinced himself he is happy - until an angel shows him what his life could have been like had he remained single. In this alternate world, he took chances, became wealthy, was in great physical shape, and screwed a variety of beautiful woman whenever he felt the urge.

Then, upon returning to his real life, he became so dissatisfied, he divorced his wife in an attempt to relclaim what he now believed was his birthright. However, he got screwed over in the divorce process, and was left broke and homeless. In the closing scene of the film, he finally snaps, comes home with a shotgun, and kills his entire family before committing suicide.

Most men learn this lesson the hard way. You still have choices. But, should you decide to follow the script society has written for you, and you do take a wife, print this post out, and read through it every few years. I will even promise not to say "I told you so!"
