RT, To the best of my knowledge the Jai Lai Fronton is shut down for playing jai lai. There was last year some amateur tournaments that were played there and I believe players were renting time to play there on an amateur level. Again I am almost positive that is the only jai lai arena in Tijuana. There are other jai lai courts (three walls) that are not enclosed and do not have a roof over them in Tijuana and Rosarito. My belief is they were just not getting enough action at night there. Even though the betting was carried by Caliente throughout Mexico the dollar wagered must not have covered the expenses. It is a shame because a group of us use to enjoy going in to the Fronton and bet on a few games before going on to Rosarito or Ensenada. That was before I got addicted to the chicas of Tijuana.
