Horny Mike said: "If I had walked into that mess on my first experience, I don't believe I would ever have returned to the zona." I have been thinking about this lately, and discussing with a couple of friends the impact the Internet has had on TJ. My TJ history started with a few not so great trips. I had mostly given up on TJ, and then decided to make one last trip to see if there was anything even remotely good about it. That trip I lucked out and a taxi driver took me to the Chicago Club. (I must also disclose that I had previously had many wonderful experiences in other parts of Mexico.) I wonder just how many guys have gone to TJ, gotten ripped off, never made it past the nasty places, and never came back. I think that one of the major impacts the Internet has had is to let guys have some idea ahead of time what to expect. That way they might give it more of a chance, end up in better places, and have better experiences far faster some of us did pre Internet. While it is not for everyone, I think the info available on the Net not only exposes many people to it that otherwise might not find La Zona, but it prepares them for it, and may dispel some peoples fear and encourage people who otherwise would not to visit. Posts like the above let newbies know that it isn't all wine and roses. But that there are ways to minimize bad experiences, and to get past them and have fun. Thanks guys....
