I rarely run across chicas who have lived in the USA and who speak English - recently, while checking into Hotel Cascadas, a young lady was whining to the reception guys about losing her perfume, and hit me up for $5 in 'Cholo' English. She said that she used to live in San Diego, but had to move back to Mexico. Not wanting to pay $40 for a gangbanger, I split for my room. At any rate, it seems odd to me that aren't more tatooed ex-gangbangers in the Zona.
