Unless you can prove personal and legal residence in MX, you are going to PAY fees, taxes, duties and anything else the MX 'official' can come up with.

The presumption is that you're going to either sell the goods, or give them as gifts. Both are fully taxable in MX. (and the rate is not all that cheap) The other think to keep in mind is the nation of manufacture of the goods you're bringing in. Example is a TV. If it's made in MX it's one rate. Made in Korea, it's another. Made in Japan, still another rate applies. (gods truth)Oh, and make damn sure you have reciepts for EVERYTHING, or the value is subjective and up to the guy doing your inspection. (and you know you don't want him telling you how much you paid for stuff)

You might think about Otay Mesa as your point of entry, but that is JUST A GUESS on my part. Anyone else KNOW if this will be of benefit??
