Zorro: I am going to be in Santo Domingo the last week of March...if that is after your visit perhaps we can commiserate and compare notes, and if it is before your visit I will be more than happy to share what I experience... Overall, the RD info I've been able to dig out is pretty sketchy, as timeliness seems to be a real issue (much of the available info seems to be outdated...)...I've digested some really basic starting info, and from there I have resigned myself to just kind of throwing myself into it...I will be hosted by some locals, tho, which I think will be a major plus...
