This is not another thread about how I am longing for my favorita, and miss her so much. Instead, I am talking about the advantages of a favorita IF you can control yourself, and not get emotionally involved. For example, my fave split from TJ last year (we lived together for a while in TJ), and is now back in Los Mochis. I plan to go down there for a week or so when I get a break from work. She is able to get us a rented house for a week for 500 pesos, compared to the steep hotel prices in LM (some go for 700 pesos + per night). So, I get a cheap vacation for a week, plus lots of fun, since she will put her novio(s) on the back burner when I show up. If, on the other hand, you get all emotional, then you're screwed.
