"I told her my usual phrase "Me gustaria el estilo de perro (or peritto)". She didn't recognize this." She may not have recognized it because it's gringo spanish ie not real spanish. Doggie style is de perrito. Vamos a hacerlo de perrito-Let's do it doggy style. If she hasn't heard of this than she hasn't been around much which may be a good thing.
