But if he gets an (ELISA) HIV test this soon after the contact, isn't it likely it won't show anything even if he IS positive? Can you get the other test (the one that reliably shows infection much sooner after contact) at clinics and such these days? 'Nother question: re: 'one STD usually travels w/another'--is that really so? Not tryin' to cause any (more) scandals re: my occasional scepticism about medical knowledge, just curious (in the words of another brother) as to whether this is something documented that I can look up and inform myself about or just your recollections of your own experiences with patients, or...?
