I've been hanging out at ficha bars like Hacienda recently, to check out the ficha scene. Anyway, here's a couple of notes: 1) Chicas work at ficha bars so that they don't have to go to the hotel with clients. This doesn't mean that it is impossible to take a chica from a ficha bar to a hotel, it's just that its unusual. You'll note that the true ficha bars don't have attached hotels as do the other bars. 2) The strippers who work during the day at Hacienda tend to work the nights at Manhattan. They walk out of Hacienda at 8 or 9 pm, and take their gear over to Manhattan to work the night shift. This means that these girls don't sleep a hell of a lot. 3) Ficha girls will drink beers until they puke. Because drinking beers is their principal means of making a living, they will drink an incredible amount of those pony beers during each and every shift, even if it means that they can barely walk by the end of the shift. Most of these chicas have their novios pick them up and bring them home at the end of work - of course, they hand their novios their earnings, too. |
