One more xerox of what ya'll sayin'. TJ in the daytime is a marvel--damn, I miss living in SD and just goin' down for the whole weekend, or in the a.m. on a weekday and stayin until the early a.m. of the next day. The street energy during the day time is tremendous (and I mean more than the SG energy--though THAT'S boomin' too most of the time). I usedta go down to the zona and hook up with a SG in the a.m., then prowl around outside the zona for a while, get some food somewhere, hang out and watch the people on Revo or Constitucion, do some CD-shoppin' maybe, or just hang out and leisurely shoot the shit with some locals in a restaurant or a cafe, then head back over to the zona for an afternoon dip in the AB, a beer or two (and a chica or two), then back out for food, wanderin' the streets some more, then back to the zona in the eve. to put that mack seriously down (and get up on that Tequila Express). Whole days disappeared in this marvellous sensory overload in what seemed like about 15 minutes. Then, back to the hotel for a few hours sleep before gettin' up to do it again the next day--shit, DAT'S LIVIN', my brothers, don't let nobody tell ya different. Somebody remind me what the fuck I'm doing here on the other side a tha country, workin', instead of sittin' my lazy, horny ass in TJ RIGHT NOW.... |
