Years ago I used to watch Johnny Carson when he did tea-time movies. He'd show a 30 second clip of some funny old movie and then take a break for a commercial with the aid of his assistant the incredibly well-stacked Carol ???. He'd then give directions to the store by putting up a spaghetti map of the LA freeway system with quick-fire impossible instructions that included the Slausen cutoff along with several other highways. The directions continued until you came to "the 'fork' in the road" - and he'd put up a picture of two paths and a table fork. Based on my experience of trying both paths, when you come to "the fork in the road", I'd suggest taking the one labelled "amiga especial" (special friend) and avoid going down the one labeled "novia" (girlfriend). I found the path labeled "amiga especial" to be smoother, easier, more interesting, and a helluva lot more fun than playing "novio" with someone that makes their living screwing other guys while I'm sneaking around screwing other women and trying to avoid detection. It allows for much more honest and open communications, more realistic expectations, fantastic fiestas grande, and the possibility for real friendship that includes "mejor para ambos". I realize we all have to follow our own paths so this is just a suggestion. Regards, |
