One said when she starts to have to many feelings for a guy she pushes him away by acting distant, sometimes even to the point of hurting him. Another thing you might notice is how she reacts when you first come in the bar. Several guys have commented that their fave will smile, but never approach them until THEY make the first move to approach HER. Again, this is a defense mechanism - she doesn't trust that you ARE going to approach her (she's been burned too many times). So, if she does approach you right off, you know she is confident about your feelings, AND has enough feelings (maybe only friendship, but...) towards you to risk it.
