The part of the article that you did not see was broadcast on the news Monday. Not only are they trying to do away with the street girls but they are trying to stop all activity related to prostitution. Their reasoning was that too much of the money is going to the cartels and funding drug trafficking and there are far to many minors getting into the business. What was strange about the broadcast was that it focused on boarder towns only. They actually showed a street in Mexicali I know. I think Fox is serious about this and may do what ever it takes to at least put the fear of this happening into someone. Now the only question is how many contracts can he dodge. I do not want to be within 50 feet of him on any given day. Although, I know this kind of news saddens most in this group, I personally think this would be one major step in cleaning up the boarder towns. Other areas of Mexico where prostitution is big has no where near the problems and crime, as do the boarder towns. The biggest problem mentioned in the broadcast was the number of minors working and the amount of money funding the cartels. Fox is set on making some kind of change to the sex industry of Mexico. What that change will be, is the question. |
