The two advantages I know of with AAA - if your car is already insured by AAA you can add this over the phone ahead of time, and they allow you to buy the policy to cover any time period you want, in advance. I did this once when I knew I was going to be pushed for time (before I had an annual policy) and didn't want to take time at the border to get a policy. AAA let me buy it several days ahead of time at my local AAA office, but effective just for the 2 days I was in mexico. I still think Instant One has the best for the least $$$.
