Oldtrail, thanks for letting me know that I am not completely alone out here. If even most mongers are docile sheep, you can imagine how much more docile average mainstream americans are. A wise man once said, "Those who are willing to sacrifice freedom for security will lose both, and deserve neither". I grew up believing that america was the land of the free and the home of the brave - that may have been true at one time, but all most americans want now is to be told what to think and do. At least most of the mexicans I know have a healthy distrust and dislike for anyone who tells them what to think, or how to live - a quality which is utterly lacking in most of the americans I know (and, sadly, this board seems to be no exception). Perhaps this is another reason for my cherishing my time south of the border? Orale, |
