The Mexican team tried to make us believe that the cold had no effect on their performance, but it did. Three staight losses to the U.S. doesn't sit well. I expect some shenanigans when the U.S. visits Mexico City, but I beleive the U.S. is playing really well right now. With 9 of the 11 starters gone from the U.S. team when they faced Brazil, the U.S. was outstanding. At one time they had 6 players on the field that were 24 y.o. or younger, and still almost tied the (almost) full strength Brazilian squad. Although the Mexican Team was minus a few of its starters, I think the result would have been the same. I think that if the U.S. does not have any major injuries, they should not only qualify for the World Cup, but win the "Hexagonal" which has implications in the seeding in 2002
