I like much of what you have to say here, and to an extent your conclusion that not everyone should be pigenholed so easily. I too have seen a lot of the extremes you mention in the above post expressed on this board in the last few days. In my opinion they are often interralated in that many start off as the guys that fall in love at the drop of a hat (first freebie anyone???) and then align themselves with the 'they're all just ho's' mentality after they get their wittle feelings hurt. When caught up in the midst of it, every TJ fling seems like tome tragically flawed great romance. It generally isn't. It doesn't have to lead to seeing TJ chicas in a more dehumanizing way, but it seems clear that for many mongers that is the best way to compartmentalize their emotions that they see as having betrayed them in the past. As for me personally, I have no explanation for my continued reverence of TJ sex workers. I don't want to marry them, I don't want to simply screw them and forget them. I wanna know everything about them. Their lives seem so much more interesting than the chick with a 'normal' life and a 'normal' job. When they allow you to see inside their life a little bit it is still quite exhilarating for me but I also seem to be immune from getting too attached.
