I went to a $1000 deductible for a reason that made sense at the time (lower payment). Rental car is not a problem and probably can last for close to 40 days. State farm has been very very good - especially after I explained to them that the hotel was less than five miles from the border. State Farm on thefts goes 50 miles into Mexico to my relief.
