Well said. Your picture of the prostitute and her customer are so well engrained into our society's mindset that it always comes as a shock when some famous "normal" guy gets busted. Or when some ultra high class outfit goes down and people get to see what the women really look like. Years ago I saw a TV show about women who pay male prostitutes. Talk about a taboo subject. The writer of the book being interviewed said that these women were from all levels of society with an emphasis on professionals. And that they would prefer killing themselves to publically admitting what they had done.
