I indicate that there will be two in the room when I register, whether or not I intend to have a chica come to the room. The late arriving chica can always be my "girlfriend" who gets off work late - regardless of whether the hotel staff knows better. It's none of their business and you have paid for double occupancy. The guard isn't entitled to a thing and has earned no propina, though I might toss him 20 pesos as pure grease...alienating or becoming unnecessarily hostile with the guy can obviously have ugly consequences...you might find your car gone or vandalized in the morning, or have a TJ cop at your door trying to shake you down for "illegal" prostitution. Last visit I brought a chica back from Mexico Lindo and the guard asked me for $20. I gave him a primer in the concept of double occupancy, but still remained friendly and handed him a couple of bucks to keep it smooth. Hell, for another $20, I can stay at the Pueblo Amigo!
