Curious, I understand what you're saying. In fact, I believe we've had this very conversation before. These are working women whose income and livelihood are built on illusion and deception, so why should we be surprised that they tell us what they think we want to hear rather than the "truth"? And none of us wants to be a patsy and feel like we've been duped, so we adopt a skeptical, cynical attitude about everything the chicas tell us. But, IMO, one of the defining features of a true amiga especial is that you can trust her and believe her. If you can't trust her to tell you the truth, she isn't really an amiga at all, much less a special one. It's not often you find a lady like that. One in a hundred, maybe two, no more. But eventually it does happen. You of all people understand this. Sure, maybe I AM being naive and my favorita is really going bareback all over the place when I'm not in town. It's taken a long time to come to this point, but she's the one in a hundred. I don't have any faith in what the other 99 chicas say. And I don't care. But if I can't believe my amiga especial, I don't think I want to play this game anymore....
