Your kidding, right????? I am about as honkey white as you get, and yet have had more Mexican girlfriends than I can count. NEVER have I had any problems from anyone. Perhaps it is because my girlfriends tend not to be zona chicas, but middle/upper class girls, or perhaps it is the fact that I speak Spanish basically without an accent, and sometimes people have doubt as to just where I am from, who knows. But I do know that I have never felt any hostility, either in the zona or elsewhere.
