Re: that long assed walk back to the parking lot: Newbies often make the mistake of walking back to World Parking by going all the way up San Ysidro Blvd. to the freeway overpass and then walking over the overpass. That is a long assed walk when you've left alot of energy back in Mexico. However, if you made an immediate right turn after leaving the customs building and followed the sign that says "To Mexico" you cross over the freeway right to World Parking via a pedestrian overpass. No more than a 5 minute walk back to the parking lot. Newbies who started at World Parking don't all realize that this walkway will take them back there. Keep in mind that the east side of the freeway lots start charging you more money to park after 8 hours. The west side lots (e.g. World) are good for 24 hours for the price of 8 on the east side. |
