I'll be in Santa Monica in June, but not sure that I will make the trip down the 405/5 to get to the destination. It will be hard explaining to the rest of the team why I am leaving them for the evening. I also am not sure I want to eat that first chip (using your analogy) as the temptation to stuff my face after the taste is in my mouth may be immensely worse than the curiosity I feel reading this board. As always my concern is the "yardmonkeys" who rely on me as a "boring" stable routine building adult as the foundation for their upbringing. While I agree that the routine gets rather dull, the flip side when you have children of broken homes, unstable relationships, and care free living produces so much of the trouble we see in youth today, that I could not bare being responsible for raising screwed up children myself. Inaugural trip then waits until I have convinced myself I can do it on a rare occasion and not let it become an obsession. 6/2001 or 6/2020 when the kids are in college, I'm not sure. But from what I hear, the chica's do not discriminate on age if the old fat man has $$$. |
