Yes, I have frequently seen cockroaches roaming about the rooms at the hotel. I have also seen them crawling up the walls at AB. I have more than once narrowly saved an amiga from having a roach crawl on her by moving her away from the wall. But cockroaches don't seem to provoke the complete disgust in Mexico that they do here. Once I saw one starting to crawl up the side of the bed. I picked up a shoe prepared to whack it, but my amiga pleaded for it's life, "Let him live!" I let it be.
