To me its the same but Putanero is probably slang for puto. So you've been called Libertino. Well thats a nice way of telling that you are a flirt.
I've been called puto, Don Juan, Pirujo, culero, pison, padrote and all sorts of things but it boils down to one word for me. MONGER!
