"In my own case, I spent the first six years of TJ visits in Revolucion strip bars (which you charmingly refer to as "go-go" bars on your website--haven't heard that one in a while)"

Once upon a midnight dreary, as I pondered weak and weary...I began to think about the Chicago Club and why it was called such. I mean "Chicago" in Mexico? The more I thought about it the more senseless it seemed, until, in a blazing fireball of revelation, the answer appeared before me...

You know how Mexicans take Spanish and "coin" new words with it? Like in Spanglish, they come up with stuff like "loncheria", a play on "lunch" and "eria" typically is the "add-on" for any type of shop or store, "carneceria", (butcher shop), "dulceria", (candy shop), etc...

Break down "Chicago" into it's Spanglish components...
Think about it...
