Overall, I do not recommend GDL for this hobby. I went last year and met another poster there. Thgere is no well defined red-light district. We hired a taxi for one evening. You really need to have a taxi to get around. Fel Dia was a dump. Juniors was OK, but pricey. Koas (rhymes with Toas, NM) is a pretentious titty bar. GDL does not offer the wide open sex scene that TJ does. During the daytime use the estheticas (massage parlors). Rape (RHA-pee) i snear the Fiesta Americana hotel. Beautiful city. I stayed one night in the city center too. Lots of 300 year old stone buildings. I brought a passport, including several concealed photo copies. From LAX you fill out a tourist card app on the plane, they rubber stamp it at the GDL airport. See the Redsnake board for more detailson GDL.
