No actually, I just realized that in the one-year period that I was with her she never asked for money. Her mom at that time lived in an apartment up stairs from her and would watch the kid when we went out, never asking for money for baby-sitting. Her mom would cook me dinner now and than still never asking for money. I guess it's just that now I realize that they are actually very good people. Over the past few months they have had a little bit of a hard time but have never directly asked me for money. I drop in about once a week (she now lives with her mom), bring them a dinner, and make sure they have food and the kid is ok. However, neither she nor her mom have ever asked for anything. Amazing for a woman working the bars. Actually now that I sit and think about all the events it brings a few things to light. |
