I have been fairly serious about learning Spanish for close to 2 years. Fav can now understand me. We may have been better off before. Tapes or any listening device is an important component to building skills in a foreign language. Pimselur is the best I have seen and I have tried a lot of them. Much cheaper and not bad to start with is "Learn Spanish in Your Car". It's a basic vocab drill. If you already speak a lttle Spanish, skip the Beginner Pimselur I set and go straight to the intermediary ones. As Whistler said you will get a lot more out of this, if you combine it with reading a good text book. As stated the Madrigal book is excellent, especially for self-study. Do not expect instant success. Eureka wrote a lot on this topic and I pestered him half to death about it. I copied his material into a TJ thread at RedSnake called "Books for Learning Spanish". Buena suerte hombre, y que encuentres lo que buscas. Gitano
