Hippie: If someone who is obviously a gringo tries to get a job in Mexico, they will be reported in a NY minute to the authorities by the unions, or sometimes by individuals upset at gringos stealing Mexican jobs. The unions in particular are rapacious in 'outing' foreigners working in Mexico - even if the foreigners are working under the table. Who knows, maybe even "Juan" will get busted one day.
