The boys on Wall Street who pull the strings of both president Shrub and president Fox are keeping the peso artificially high by pumping millions of dollars in loans into Mexico. Same strategy that allowed Salinas and his cronies to rob more than $40 Billion USD, and which Clinton bailed out. This is all designed to save face for the new Mexican president. But you can only artificially support the peso for so long, as President Zedillo found out in 94. So I'll be holding back my yankee dollars, waiting to swoop in on some distressed beachfront property, when the inevitible crash does occur. -El Tigre del Norte |
