I just got back from a month long immersion language class in Cuernavaca and went into Mexico City every weekend. I found most everything was more expensive except where a lot of local labor was expended on an item, or a service. I agree with Mule Lip but found the buses were the biggest bargain and the taxis not too bad. The hard part to understand is the price for decent bottled tequila. Hornas was $23.00 for the top of the line. I had a few dates with a some gals I met via Amigos.com. The good restaurants seemed more expensive in De Effe than here in San Diego. I learned about Pacifico cervesa and am hooked! Email me for more language class info (gringo@yahoo.com) I remember a monger wrote that he chased some putas too close to his class and was considered to be an a-hole after that (I guess by his maestras. That is why I went for the Chilangas (De Effe senoritas). |
