What are the shows at AB and CC like? Are they like a U.S. strip club review (a parade of topless ladies marching to some Rock anthem)? Or is it something entirely different? 6 years ago, on a vacation in CanCun, I went to a club in the downtown area of CanCun called Casa Blanca. We were the only gringos in the place(well, my friend was black- is HE still called a gringo? Just curious.) Anyway, lots of girls lining the walls, mostly 5-6's, a couple of 7's. None speak any ingles. Still VERY friendly. But right the middle of working two of the chicas out of the clubs and back to our hotels, an announcer hit the stage and lights dimmed. Big fanfare, music rises and a full blown Puerto Rico/ Vegas style cabaret show came on. A couple of showgirls with feathers and boas strutting their stuff, backed up by a couple of effeminate boy dancers!!! And an older woman, with a fantastic gaudy costume, came out and sang a couple of numbers. I was so surprised that I thought the multiple tequila shots I had consumed had just kicked into overdrive! My partner and I roared (it was just kinda surreal!) The girls with us clapped along to the canciones that the woman belted out. All in all, it was a lot of fun, but still, quite strange. RoadHawg
