Ritmo... I had probably the most surrealistic experience of my life the first time I entered the Zona Norte officialy some 4 years ago...but I don't think I could have continued the string of marvelous experiences that I've had, if I did not have the ability to speak Spanish. I think what happens is that a lot of us take up the cause and our bilingual skills become a natural extension of our general social abilities...and we forget how gringo-esque we once were. BTW, I think the first time down the two chicas I picked for my first experience just saw me as a typical gringo and just for sport, decided to ruin me for gringo civilization. They did.... KRICO |
