"if your hurtin' nothing beats a trip to the zona." was what a friend of mine suggested. i was in a 5 year relationship with this chick that i had been seeing since college. she cheated on me and i was all fucked up. after i got passed the "woe is me" stage i went "back" to tj. first to hit the dance clubs and the strippies. i hear a lot of talk about gringas in the zona... a long time ago (94-95) there used to be american girls working in altiz and casablanca. and occasionally you found them in peanuts. we used to hit those joints all the time. it helped get over the shock of getting dumped. (not saying that you got dumped cf, im just venting please bare with me ya'll). well im past that now, but im still stuck. for a long time i dated women sporadically and started hitting the zona. i felt NO attachment. last year i moved out of cali. i hooked up with this girl here and i've been crazy about her since. i miss home though. im getting attached and my emotions are out of control. im uncomfortable with my apparent lack of control, but i really dig this chick. we're getting serious and im starting to see a future, but im scared. and so is she. im telling her this "forever" bullshit. im getting "soft". im getting too attached. i need a trip to the zona to clear my head.. maybe ill make a quick trip to la coahuila. -p'dro
