He does seem to have a desire to help you, unlike 90% of the rest of the hustlers in the Zona. He's never really done anything for me (unlike Mike, though Mike's success rate is reaaaaaal iffy), and has never asked me for money (again, unlike Mike who puts the bite on almost every time he sees me), but he's generally friendly and a pleasant enuff guy. He takes his 'work' pretty seriously, and a couple times has used me as a test audience for one of his 'pitches' for potential touristas, basically trying to get over the slight of people telling him they are looking for 'nothing' in the Zona. One possibly unrelated question: Is he any relation to 'Marcel' the pasty faced guy with the pony tail that's always touting the 'young girls' he can steer you to? THAT guy strikes me as bad news. No connection really, other that it's odd that both speak French.
