I am the last person on this board to claim any expertise in Taco-craft. However, I attended Fiesta Broadway in L.A. yesterday (Cinco de Mayo celebration covering 36 city blocks and possibly several hundred thousand people....Paulina Rubio, Oscar de la Hoya and lots of Spanish TV Brittney Spears type hoochie coochie girls)...anyhow, the tacos and other food served up at the multitudinous feeding stations and the regular taco joints along this Mexican culture dominated commercial strip, demonstrated to me once and for all that tacos and the other food we eat in the zona is something we have to settle for...doesn't compare to the quality available in the good ole USA! I like those bacon-wrapped dogs in TJ too...the LA version that I ate yesterday was about 3 times plumper and juicier (and also about 3 times more costly). |
