Mexican Citizens cannot drive or own foreign (US) registered cars. She is most likely to be caught by getting a red light at the border. ERGO, she wants you, a foreigner, to cross the car. Do it. As long as it is in her name, or you sign a release over to her, you have nothing to fear.
