...and you REALLY need to check with the Consulate to be sure - is that there is a minimum import fee ranging from a low of $300 (maybe recently increased to $500) for any old junker to (again, a MINIMUM) of $20,000 for a nearly new European luxury car. Several years ago they broke all vehicles down into 4 categories, and some of the rules they used were pretty off the wall. I had a Dodge mini van, but it fell in the SAME category as a five ton truck (a van is a van is a van is a commercial vehicle!). A Trans AM fell into the same category as a Mecedes or Porche. As I said above, do some research by talking to the Consulate.
