In "reviewing the literature" before embarking on this engrossing hobby, I came across a fascinating book written by a psychologist/sociologist. She worked with a call girl who had guys come to her apartment. The researcher was in the next room "peeping" into the call girl's bedroom, "listening" to the conversations, and taking notes. She identified 9 types of clients. They ranged from the lovers, the friends, the saviors, etc. etc. Her descriptions of the guys that came in groups were very interesting. Her conclusion was that the clients left happy and satisfied, the prostitute made a good living, and no one was harmed. Based on her actual experience in the field, she thought prostitution should be legalized. I got the book from the library at UCI and can't remember the author or the title. I'd like to read the list of the nine types of clients again and maybe even post it here. Does anyone know who the author is or the title of the book? Regards, |
